Everything you need to know before you book.
The aurora season runs from September to April, when the nights are long and dark. Peak visibility is usually between late September and mid-March on clear, cloud-free nights away from city light. Most of our Northern Lights tours include a free retry if the aurora doesn’t appear.
The Golden Circle is Iceland’s most popular day trip, linking Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall. It runs year-round and pairs easily with extras like the Blue Lagoon, the Secret Lagoon or snowmobiling.
Most of our small-group and group tours include complimentary pickup and drop-off from hotels and designated bus stops in Reykjavík. Each tour page lists whether pickup is included or whether you meet the guide on site.
Your booking is held by the tour operator who runs the tour — you book and pay them directly through us — so cancellations and changes go through them, under the cancellation terms you agree to at checkout. Many Iceland operators offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure, but it varies by tour, so check the terms before you book. If you can’t reach the operator, contact us and we’ll help you get hold of them.
Popular experiences — especially ice caves, glacier hikes and Northern Lights tours in winter — sell out days or weeks ahead in high season. We recommend booking as early as your dates are confirmed to secure your preferred departure.
