7 May 2026 · 12 min readBook it: south coast tours
Iceland’s South Coast is a single road — the Ring Road running east out of Reykjavík — with an outsized landmark every half hour: Seljalandsfoss, which you can walk behind; Skógafoss, a 60-metre curtain you can climb beside; the black sand, basalt columns and sea stacks of Reynisfjara; the glacier tongue at Sólheimajökull; and the small village of Vík under Reynisfjall. Because everything sits close to the road, it works as a day tour in a way most of Iceland does not.
